Engaging, evidence-based presentations on suicide prevention, sleep, and mental health for universities, hospitals, communities, and professional audiences.
I am available for invited lectures, keynote addresses, grand rounds presentations, professional development workshops, and community talks. My presentations draw on more than fifteen years of federally funded research and clinical experience to deliver content that is scientifically grounded, practically relevant, and accessible to a wide range of audiences, from clinicians and researchers to students and the general public.
I speak on two primary topic areas: suicide prevention and sleep science and mental health. Both reflect the core of my research program and my genuine passion for closing the gap between what science knows and what communities receive.
Presentation Topics
Suicide is a public health crisis, and the gap between research knowledge and community practice remains dangerously wide. Drawing on more than fifteen years as a Principal Investigator on SAMHSA-funded suicide prevention programs, I deliver presentations that translate the science of suicide prevention into actionable strategies for organizations, campuses, healthcare systems, and communities, with a particular focus on serving rural and underserved populations.
Most people know sleep matters, but few appreciate how profoundly sleep disturbance shapes mental health, emotional regulation, and even mortality risk. As a Fellow and Past President of the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, I offer presentations that bring the latest behavioral sleep science to life, from the neuroscience of nightmares to practical tools clinicians and patients can use tonight.
Track Record
I have delivered invited presentations at academic conferences, hospital systems, universities, and community venues across the country and internationally.
